How does quantum physics work, you may ask, what is it, and where does it come from?

In this article we discuss a very brief and simplified history of Quantum Mechanics and will quote what the founding fathers of this branch of science had to say about Vedic influence on the development of their theories.

We are not interested in new age mumbo-jumbo. We are interested in understanding what is real and what is false. This is why we, along with all other great minds, consult the Vedic texts. Please read on…

The famous Danish physicist and Nobel Prize winner, Laureate Niels Bohr (1885-1962) (pictured above), was a follower of the Vedas. He said, “I go into the Upanishads to ask questions.” Both Bohr and Schrödinger, the founders of quantum physics, were avid readers of the Vedic texts and observed that their experiments in quantum physics were consistent with what they had read in the Vedas.

Niels Bohr got the ball rolling around 1900 by explaining why atoms emit and absorb electromagnetic radiation only at certain frequencies.

Then, in the 1920’s Erwin Schrödinger (1887-1961), an Austrian-Irish physicist (pictured below), who won the Nobel prize, came up with his famous wave equation that predicts how the Quantum Mechanical wave function changes with time. Wave functions are used in Quantum Mechanics to determine how particles move and interact with time.

In the 1920’s Werner Heisenberg (1901-1976) (pictured Left) formulated his famous uncertainty principal, which states when a physicist attempts to observe a subatomic particle, the experimental apparatus inevitably alters the subatomic particle’s trajectory. This is because they are trying to observe something that is of the same scale as the photons they are using to observe it.

To be more specific, to observe something that is subatomic in size one must use a device (apparatus) that projects photons at the particle being observed. This is because the reception of photons by our retina is what we call vision. Basically, to observe something, we must bounce photons off it. The problem is that the photons disturb the subatomic particles because they are of the same size. Thus, there is no way to observe subatomic particles without altering their trajectories.

Bohr, Heisenberg and Schrödinger regularly read Vedic texts. Heisenberg stated, “Quantum theory will not look ridiculous to people who have read Vedanta.” Vedanta is the conclusion of Vedic thought.

Furthermore, Fritjof Capra, when interviewed by Renee Weber in the book The Holographic Paradigm (page 217–218), stated that Schrödinger, in speaking about Heisenberg, has said:
“I had several discussions with Heisenberg. I lived in England then [circa 1972], and I visited him several times in Munich and showed him the whole manuscript chapter by chapter. He was very interested and very open, and he told me something that I think is not known publicly because he never published it. He said that he was well aware of these parallels. While he was working on quantum theory he went to India to lecture and was a guest of Tagore. He talked a lot with Tagore about Indian philosophy. Heisenberg told me that these talks had helped him a lot with his work in physics, because they showed him that all these new ideas in quantum physics were in fact not all that crazy. He realized there was, in fact, a whole culture that subscribed to very similar ideas. Heisenberg said that this was a great help for him. Niels Bohr had a similar experience when he went to China.”

Consequently, Bohr adopted the Yin-Yang symbol as part of his family coat-of-arms when he was knighted in 1947.

Schrodinger wrote in his book Meine Weltansicht:

“This life of yours which you are living is not merely a piece of this entire existence, but in a certain sense the whole; only this whole is not so constituted that it can be surveyed in one single glance. This, as we know, is what the Brahmins [wise men or priests in the Vedic tradition] express in that sacred, mystic formula which is yet really so simple and so clear; tat tvam asi, this is you. Or, again, in such words as “I am in the east and the west, I am above and below, I am this entire world.”
This is a reference to the Mundaka Upanishad mantra (above) in which the Vedic understanding of the connectivity of living entities is put forward to help the Bhakta (practitioner of yoga) to understand the difference between the body and the living entity. How the real nature of the living entity is realized only in union with the source, the supreme being (Brahman/Krishna) through a platform of transcendental divine loving service.

Schrödinger, in speaking of a universe in which particles are represented by wave functions, said, “The unity and continuity of Vedanta are reflected in the unity and continuity of wave mechanics.  This is entirely consistent with the Vedanta concept of All in One.”

“The multiplicity is only apparent. This is the doctrine of the Upanishads. And not of the Upanishads only. The mystical experience of the union with God regularly leads to this view, unless strong prejudices stand in the West.” (Erwin Schrödinger, What is Life?, p. 129, Cambridge University Press)

“There is no kind of framework within which we can find consciousness in the plural; this is simply something we construct because of the temporal plurality of individuals, but it is a false construction… The only solution to this conflict insofar as any is available to us at all lies in the ancient wisdom of the Upanishad.” (Mein Leben, Meine Weltansicht [My Life, My World View] (1961), Chapter 4)

In his biography on Schrödinger, Moore wrote: “His system – or that of the Upanishads – is delightful and consistent: the self and the world are one and they are all… He rejected traditional western religious beliefs (Jewish, Christian, and Islamic) not on the basis of any reasoned argument, nor even with an expression of emotional antipathy, for he loved to use religious expressions and metaphors, but simply by saying that they are naive.
Vedanta and gnosticism are beliefs likely to appeal to a mathematical physicist, a brilliant only child, tempted on occasion by intellectual pride. Such factors may help to explain why Schrödinger became a believer in Vedanta, but they do not detract from the importance of his belief as a foundation for his life and work. It would be simplistic to suggest that there is a direct causal link between his religious beliefs and his discoveries in theoretical physics, yet the unity and continuity of Vedanta are reflected in the unity and continuity of wave mechanics. In 1925, the world view of physics was a model of the universe as a great machine composed of separable interacting material particles, During the next few years, Schrödinger and Heisenberg and their followers created a universe based on superimposed inseparable waves of probability amplitudes. This new view would be entirely consistent with the vedantic concept of the All in One.” (Schrödinger: Life and Thought (Meine Weltansicht), p. 173)

In Schrödinger’s famous essay on determinism and free will, he expressed very clearly the sense that consciousness is a unity, arguing that this “insight is not new…From the early great Upanishads the recognition Atman = Brahman (the personal self equals the omnipresent, all-comprehending eternal self) was in Indian thought considered, far from being blasphemous, to represent, the quintessence of deepest insight into the happenings of the world. The striving of all the scholars of Vedanta was, after having learnt to pronounce with their lips, really to assimilate in their minds this grandest of all thoughts.”

According to Moore on page 125 of his biographical work, A Life of Erwin Schrödinger, Schrödinger found “Vedanta teaches that consciousness is singular, all happenings are played out in one universal consciousness and there is no multiplicity of selves… The stages of human development are to strive for Possession (Artha), Knowledge (Dharma), Ability (Kama), Being (Moksha)… Nirvana is a state of pure blissful knowledge. It has nothing to do with individual. The ego or its separation is an illusion. The goal of man is to preserve his Karma and to develop it further – when man dies his karma lives and creates for itself another carrier.”

The above quote clearly demonstrates Schrödinger’s firm belief in reincarnation.

Schrödinger wrote in his book My View of the World: “In all the world, there is no kind of framework within which we can find consciousness in the plural; this is simply something we construct because of the temporal plurality of individuals, but it is a false construction….The only solution to this conflict in so far as  any is available to us at all lies in the ancient wisdom of the Upanishad” (p. 31).

The Vedas teach that we are more than physical bodies operating according to the laws of physics and chemistry. We, the eternal conscious self (Atma), are inherently connected to the greater whole (ParamAtma), and this eternal inherent connection is totally transcendental to matter. All living entities (Atmas), having free will, are able to ignore this connection or recognize it. The Vedas teach us how to do both. When we act as scientists and look for facts and accept them and then go on to use and act according to our new realizations we can make great progress. Similarly, as living entities, we must scientifically study the great work of the evidential books of the Vedas in order to help us realize the facts of this universe and beyond, and our natural position in it.

Schrödinger explicitly affirmed his conviction that Vedantic jnana (knowledge) represents the only true view of reality, a view for which he was prepared to offer empirical proof (Klaus K. Klostermaier, A Short Introduction to Hinduism, p. 168).

Regarding mystical insights, Schrödinger tells us: “The multiplicity is only apparent. This is the doctrine of the Upanishads, and not of the Upanishads only. The mystical experience of the union with God regularly leads to this view, unless strong prejudices stand in the West” (Amaury de Riencourt, The Eye of Shiva: Eastern Mysticism and Science,  p.78).

In autumn of 1925 Schrödinger wrote an interestingly personal account of his philosophy of life called Mein Weltansicht – My World View.

He completed this in 1960. In chapter 5 of this book he gives his understanding of the basic view of Vedanta. He writes, “Vedanta teaches that consciousness is singular, all happenings are played out in one universal consciousness and there is no multiplicity of selves.”

Maya (illusion) is the cause of our faulty identification with this material world. In all the embodied forms of existence, Atma (the individual living entity) is fully able to at any time revive his forgotten, eternal and inherent connection with Brahman or Paramatma, the supreme self and source of all the living entities.

Schrödinger did not believe that it is possible to demonstrate the unity of consciousness by logical arguments. One must make an imaginative leap guided by communion with nature and the persuasion of analogies. He understood the nonmaterial eternal nature of the conscious self and how the Atman is intimately connected to the supreme.

In the 1920’s quantum mechanics was created by the three great minds mentioned above: Heisenberg, Bohr and Schrödinger, who all read from and greatly respected the Vedas. They elaborated upon these ancient books of wisdom in their own language and with modern mathematical formulas in order to try to understand the ideas that are to be found throughout the Vedas, referred to in the ancient Sanskrit as “Brahman,” “Paramatma,” “Akasha” and “Atman.” As Schrödinger said, “some blood transfusion from the East to the West to save Western science from spiritual anemia.”

In 1935 Einstein Prodolsky and Rosen challenged Quantum Mechanics on the grounds that it was an incomplete formulation. They were the first authors to recognize that quantum mechanics is inherently non-local, which means it allows for instantaneous action across arbitrarily great distances. So an action in one place can instantly influence something on the other side of the universe in no time at all. This very powerful paper (The EPR paper) explaining Quantum Entanglement changed the world and alerted us to the magical implications of quantum mechanics’ metaphysical implications.

But, Einstein states in his letter from to Max Born, 3 March 1947, “Es gibt keine spukhafte Fernwirkung”  which translates to “There is no spooky action at a distance.” He did not believe in magic. He believed in science and would regularly read the Bhagavad-gita.  Einstein’s famous quote on the Bhagavad-gita is: “When I read the Bhagavad-gita and reflect about how God created this universe everything else seems so superfluous.” He also wrote in his book The World as I See It, “I maintain that the cosmic religious feeling is the strongest and noblest motive for scientific research” (p. 24-28).

Physicists have not yet ascertained whether Bohr and company or Einstein and company are right.

One thing that all this materialistic research has done is open up the doors for the world to look deeper into the validity of the Vedas. For, it is stated in the Bhagavad-gita, “A mundaner 1) is sure to commit mistakes, 2) is invariably illusioned, 3) has the tendency to cheat others and 4) is limited by imperfect senses. With these four imperfections, one cannot deliver perfect information of all-pervading knowledge.” So no matter how many experiments we conduct, we can never come to the absolute truth using imperfect instruments of perception, even if we have a super brain like Einstein or Schrödinger. For our very minds, thoughts and power of intelligence only work on the platform of time and space and are rendered defective from being subject to the four defects that the Bhagavad-gita mentions. So we must come to accept a higher authority, not a mundane person of the material world that is limited by his own imperfect senses and instruments in a laboratory. We must approach Krishna, the supreme person! We must give Him the credit for he is the supreme father of all Quantum processes that all these other men mentioned in this article are trying to understand. He established all the laws of nature and is controlling it; it is by His will that we will or will not ever understand.  For the Vedas are coming from Krishna and are ultimately meant to help us understand and love Krishna, the supreme being. The dry mental speculators and scientists (depicted at the bottom of the picture, at left) try by their own limited power of intellect and observation to understand Krishna/God, unaware that Krishna is only known by those fortunate souls that serve Him in the mood of love and surrender. Let us not forget, “God” means the all powerful; we cannot force the all powerful supreme personality to reveal Himself to us by our own limited strength and arrangements. Krishna is way above that. The scientific process to understand Krishna and the nature of the universe is to learn from a fully self-realized soul, like Srila Prabhupada. By reading his books, chanting the hare Krishna Maha mantra and practicing celibacy (controlling the senses), we may purify our minds and hearts so we are qualified to understand Srila Prabhupada’s transcendental books and the Vedic literature and thus surrender to the supreme being, Krishna.

Since scientists like Schrödinger did not possess a direct knowledge of Sanskrit to discern first-hand what the Vedic texts actually were saying, they were forced to read various translations of these great books of wisdom, such as the Upanishads. There are persons like Robert Oppenheimer (1904 – 1967) (pictured on left) who were not lacking in such an advantage. Oppenheimer learned Sanskrit in 1933 and read the Bhagavad-gita in the original, citing it later as one of the most influential books to shape his philosophy of life, stating that “The Vedas are the greatest privilege of this century.”

Upon witnessing the world’s first nuclear test in 1945, he instantly quoted Bhagavad-gita chapter 11, text 32, “Now I am become death, the destroyer of worlds.”

Vedic texts such as the Bahgavad-gita and the Upanishads were collectively considered the most influential books ever written by eminent people like Thoreau, Kant, Schopenhauer, Schrödinger, Werner Heisenberg , Tesla, Einstein etc.

The fact is that, irrespective of east or west, great minds that come in contact with the Vedic texts agree that the ultimate reality remains timeless and changeless, and is contained in the Vedic texts such as the Bhagavad-gita and the Upanishads.

Furthermore 300 years before Quantum Mechanics, Sir Isaac Newton came up with Classical Mechanics which describes very basic action and reaction. Newton’s entire work in Physics and Calculus was taken wholesale from the Vedas and Kerala book of Calculus. It was simply taken from the Vedas where it was originally used for calculating rates of change in Astronomy and Astrology for many thousands of years before Newton.

Another genius scientist was Nikola Tesla, a super genius Serbian. Tesla, along with the others mentioned above, knew that the ancient Indian Brahmans (wise men), well equipped with knowledge from the Vedas, had understandings of the intricate laws, mathematical formulas and subtle workings of the universe that far surpass anything we can even imagine today.

It is uncertain how Nikola Tesla was introduced to the Vedas. Much of Tesla’s life and work has been erased from history due to this mastermind inventor and scientist wanting to make the fruits of all his work available for free to the world (google “free energy Tesla” and your mind will be truly blown away). Unfortunately for us, because he was not trying to use his genius for profiteering and exploiting others he was met with one setback after another. His grants and funding were constantly being revoked by those that control the economy and trade. Nikola Tesla originally invented many things that we all use on a daily basis but most people have never even heard of him because his name was removed from common history (just like much of the teaching of the Vedas) and he was eventually murdered. I guess he know too much and wanted to share it freely for the betterment of mankind (just like the Vedas), not to exploit it. Unfortunately not everyone saw eye to eye with him.

Tesla understood the great power of Zero Point Field or Akasha or Ether: the power of space between the electrons and the nucleus. Vivekanda’s effect on Tesla was so great that he became vegetarian, became celibate and started using Sanskrit words. He died with his scalar energy science in his head, because he did NOT want the US military to use it to destroy the planet. No wonder he was denied the Nobel prize and eventually killed. Knowledge is power, and there are many people that want all the power for themselves. Tesla wanted to give power to everyone for free! He was actually the first person to figure out how to make radio communication possible across the Atlantic ocean. But because he wanted to make this ability free for others his funding was stopped and the credit was later given to someone else that played the power game better than him.

Here is just a small list of some of Tesla’s contributions to the world that he has not been given credit for:

Alternating Current -AC electricity (Thomas Edison literally stole his ideas from him and took the credit for for it).
Radio (Marconi just took the ideas and work of Tesla and got the cerdit for it).
Hydro-electricity (Tesla Built the first Hydro-electric power plant at Niagara falls As a result we see whats there now)
transistors (you are using a transistor right now to view this webpage :) )
Resonant frequency (every one else figured it out 50 yeas later)
Fluorescent and Neon lighting
The induction motor
The rotating magnetic field (precursor to gyroscope)
Arc lighting
Tesla coil
Encryption technology and scrambler
Wireless communication and power transmission
remote control
Telegeodynamics (a way to search for metals and minerals)
Tachometer and speedometer
Refrigeration machines
Bladeless turbines and pumps
Cryogenic engineering
reactive jet dirigible (precursor to Harrier jet)
Hovercraft Flivver plane (precursor to Osprey helicopter/aircraft)
Particle-beam weapons (precursor to Starwars)

All Tesla’s engineering was done in his head, he never worked things out on paper or used scale models to come to a functioning final result. He was truly empowered by Krishna. Things would appear in his head and he would simply record it exactly as it came to him, similar to Beethoven.

Below is a picture of the tower Tesla built in the early 1900s in Shoreham, New York referred to as “Wardenclyffe.” This tower was proposed to be a model for more of these towers located around the world to provide free wireless energy to everyone. Upon J.P. Morgan’s finding out it was not equipped with any type of meter to monitor who was using how much of the energy it provided and was thus not for profit he ripped Tesla’s funding out from under him and the tower was torn down.

Tesla tower

Tesla lived to be 86 years old. He was 6 ft. 2 in. (1.88 m) tall and reported to be strikingly handsome. He was also a celibate his whole life. This goes in line with the teachings of the Vedas that Tesla and other master minds were familiar with. The Vedas recommend for yogis, and those wanting super intelligence and inner power, to conserve their own divine energy by observing celibacy. As Tesla himself has said, “The gift of mental power comes from God, divine being, and if we concentrate our minds on that truth, we become in tune with this great power.” and “Our senses enable us to perceive only a minute portion of the outside world.”

Now ask yourself why don’t we learn about the Vedas in school? Instead we are told it is all just some hindu “mythology.” Maybe for the same reason, we have not ever heard about Mr. Nikola Tesla.

Although not a physicist, the German philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer (1788 – 1860) I feel also deserves a place in this article due the fact that he read a Latin translation of the Vedic texts and also glorified the Upanishads  in his main work, The World as Will and Representation (1819), as well as in his Parerga and Paralipomena(1851). He found his own philosophy was in accord with the Vedic ideas.

He states: “That I encounter in the Vedas deep original lofty thoughts, suffused with a high and holy seriousness”

“If the reader has also received the benefit of the Vedas, the access to which by means of the Upanishads is in my eyes the greatest privilege which this still young century (1818) may claim before all previous centuries, if then the reader, I say, has received his initiation in primeval Indian wisdom, and received it with an open heart, he will be prepared in the very best way for hearing what I have to tell him. It will not sound to him strange, as to many others, much less disagreeable; for I might, if it did not sound conceited, contend that every one of the detached statements which constitute the Upanishads, may be deduced as a necessary result from the fundamental thoughts which I have to enunciate, though those deductions themselves are by no means to be found there.”

It is my contention that unity and diversity are mother and father of creativity. Each of the great minds mentioned were influenced by the same texts, yet each reacted in his own unique way, producing results which, while related, also contributed something new.

Yes, it is a part of the New Age movement. In it science does not think of its theories through the Bible but forces the priests to think about God through the discoveries of modern science. The tree of knowledge in the Garden of Eden is the code of God and the smartest creature is now a symbol in medicine but why you Lucifer who were the next to God and wanted to create something better and sit on his throne ended up as the lowest of them all and your creations are GMO garbage? The same is with scientists. No mater how diligent one is one is screwed by one’s own brains. Here in Bulgaria doctors live much less than the average. If you see the deities in India you will see a lot of snakes around them. They are a guru system. They believe that the ways to God are many but the easiest and the shortest is through a guru. It is opposite to Christianity. It resembles Catholicism with all the rapes and corruption of the “holly” ones. If you stop thinking so much you can easily become millionaires.

“They are a guru system. They believe that the ways to God are many but the easiest and the shortest is through a guru. It is opposite to Christianity.”
But is it really opposite? It appears both Christianity and Hinduism are doing the same thing. Briefly:

Christianity says: (1) You are all sinners (2) Come to church (3) Pay me money (4) I will pray for you and (5) You will go to God.

Hinduism says: (1) You have done bad karmas (2) Find a guru (3) give him money (4) He will give you mantra and (5)You will find liberation to God.
These are money power interpretation for religions. These are businesses, capitalism, and controlled by central bank. Unfortunately, these are the mainstream interpretations also.

Vedic interpretation, on the other hand, obeys the laws of nature. The laws of nature are the only truth. It can be shown that all religions are same under the Vedic interpretation. There was a time when Vedas were known all over the world. You will find the influences of Vedas in all religions, including Bible and Judaism.

There is no God in Vedas. Hinduism does not follow Vedas. According to Vedas (Samkhya) – you are created by your soul and I am created by my soul. Every object in the universe is created by its own individual soul. Thus there is no God that created the entire universe. Veda (Gita) also says – A soul cannot be broken into pieces. Thus my soul cannot be a part of God.

Veda has the destiny law also. Destiny means you do not have freewill. Thus you cannot be sinners; you cannot also perform good or bad karmas. When and where you will be born in next life, depends on the global destiny and not on your karma of this life.

Destiny is created from the following obvious law of nature – all objects in the universe are continuously and simultaneously interconnected with each other for all past, present, and future times. If anything moves then everything moves. This law creates the global destiny. Our individual destiny can be derived from this global destiny.

          Vedas do not deny God.
You are talking of Samkhya that says “Eshar asidhya” (God cannot be proven). This cannot be taken to mean God does not exist. ONE of great saints of India Sri Yukteshwar (Guru of Yogananda, writer of “Autobiography of a Yogi”) said in his book “Holly Science”:
“When you are nothing, then you are dissolved and can really see!” – that is, then the bright onefully comprehends Eternal Spirit, the Father, the only Real Substance, as Unit, the Perfect Whole, and his Self as nothing but a mere idea resting on a fragment of the Spiritual Light thereof. Man, thus comprehending, abandons altogether the vain idea of the separate existence of his own Self and becomes unified with Him, the Eternal Spirit, God the Father. This unification with God is Kaivalya, the ultimate goal of man”.
In other words, God cannot be proven by man until he turns spiritual and attains self-realization by methods described by many great sages and yogis (one of them being Patanjali in Yogasutra).
Hinduism does not say you find a Guru. You can go on doing your religious chores without a Guru. IT says you find a Guru only if you are serious about your spiritual pursuits. A highly spritual Guru can direct you to the correct path.
Hinduism does not believe in “everlasting hell or heaven” as does the Church. A finite cause cannot have an infinite effect. God is not a tyrant.
We are all part of that God. Our real essence is our soul also called “Jivatma” (individual soul) which is part of “paramatma” (Universal Soul or God).
When Jivatma merges with Paramatma, it is called “self-realization” or Moksha or Nirvana.
Vedas do not deny God. Rig Veda is full of Gods including Fire god (Agni), God of thunder (Indira) etc etc.
Vedic ideas are crystallized into “Advaita” as enunciated by Adi Sankara. This says that Atma is not seperate from paramatma. Here again God is not denied.
As such people are confused. why add to their confusion.
Just read the book “Autobiography of a Yogi” (link:, a spiritual classic wherein all the questions are answered!

The main fallacy of this article is the the quantum mathematicians had developed their system BEFORE they became scholars of the Vedas. Dear Mike please read this section of the article where it is clearly stated:

When interviewed by Renee Weber in the book The Holographic Paradigm (page 217–218), stated that Schrödinger, in speaking about Heisenberg, has said:

The seekers of truth in Science and the seekers of ultimate truth in Spirituality can not have conflict in their realisations. No wonder that the Vedantic thoughts on reality of existence had such a convincing influence on modern Quantum Physicists .

The blog brings out this truth in open and thus a great service to the scientists of the world who for a long time were left out as being conditioned minds unfit to pursue science for glory of its creator.

Science and spiritually are to go together to build a humane society where the capabilities of science and technology and the bliss of spirituality enable man to live a life full of eternal bliss in his otherwise perishable existence.

I must however add that noble thoughts are not the monopoly of a race nor are dependent on time and space. These can be conceived by purity of mind and unbiased quest for truth. The Vedic seers and sages were the great scientists of their age and so are the Nobel laureates of the age of modern science.

Krishna Path has done a great service to humanity by bringing the truth of quantum physics in open.

In Bible, Ecclesiastes 1:9 says – “What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.”
That means you cannot invent anything new. The law of conservation also says – mass and energy cannot be created or destroyed. Vedas says the same thing: non-existent cannot become existent and vice versa. The first part is in Vedas and is known as the law of eternal recurrence – same thing will happen over and over again. German philosopher Nietzsche popularized that in the west.

If you think you have invented something, then your destiny will take you along a path to a place, to show you that, what you invented was already there. That is what happened to these scholars. Also note that we are soul, we have lived in this world for many lives. That knowledge is with us. You lived when Jesus was here.

Vedas is not written by anybody. The content of Vedas is in nature. Vedas describe the laws of nature. If you can acquire divine vision, by yogic meditation, you will be able to see Vedas using your own eyes. Vedas was valid million years before, it is valid now, and it will remain valid million years from now. That is why it is called eternal knowledge. There was a time in our history, when Vedas were known all over the world. Its proof is abundantly visible in Bible and Judaism.

All knowledge comes from the universe or nature. Knowledge is not in our brain. Memory is not in the brain. Memory is in the nature. If you throw a stone, that information will remain in nature forever. Anyone with divine vision will be able to see exactly what you did, who, when, and where.

I am excited after reading this blog but I am not entirely convinced that each of these mentioned scientists read the vedas. If at all they read the vedas, Please provide appropriate references which you have clearly not done. And moreover the vedas where text written in Sanskrit and mainly in the hands of the religious scholars, but not circulated among the public as such. I really don’t think the western scientist mentioned here would have had access to the vedas. Though I am a Hindu, I entirely don’t believe in the liability of this blog and whether everything that is written here is correct or not. Prove me wrong, if so, by providing with sufficient evidence. Just saying that Heisenberg was influenced by the vedas don’t make sense, as I can just say that he was inspired by a clown and you have to believe it. So do provide the references as evidence for this blog’s liability.

Hindu-ism is not just a religion or culture but a complete essence of existence of every being, no matter how big or small. It is highly scientific has explanations to each & every question that we might have. It’s good that now we are realizing how wise and knowledgeable our rishi-muni-yogis were and what wealth of knowledge lies stored in our ancient scriptures. However it is also true that we have yet grasped only a fraction of that. It is also said that many scrolls of our valuable scriptures had been taken away by the Buddhist monks and preachers to China and stored away in secret caves in remote mountains. The idea behind this was to not only hide the great volumes of knowledge and keep under their control, but also to pass off many matters of knowledge of Hindu origin as their own. Actually what Buddha wanted was to rid the Hindu society of malpractices done in the name of religion by unscrupulous & selfish gurus and priests and also to propagate the knowledge in Vedas among the common man in easy, simple words that they can understand and correlate to from around their surroundings. Breaking the Hindu religion was probably not on his mind initially. Whatever may be the cause, Hinduism began to weaken with this and by many more spiritual gurus later in time. They all had the same data bank i.e. the Vedas, the Upanishads, the Purans & other Hindu texts. But from this vast ocean of knowledge each picked an oyster, refined it & distributed that pearl of knowledge emphasizing on its core matter and created a new religion. Thus the Hindu religion weakened as people broke away from it. But its a pity that they did not realize that there can be nothing different and beyond Hinduism. Only the rituals may change, or you may choose or not choose to worship in a way or practice religion centered around a certain thought or vision. As we know that Sanskrit is the mother of all languages, Kalarippayattu is the origin of all forms of marshal arts, Samadhi is the ultimate in meditation, similarly with more research and indepth study of various religions & cultures across the Globe will reveal that Hinduism has been there since dawn of life and continue to sustain no matter we acknowledge it or ignore it.

Dear reader who is feeling awesome about understanding what deep links exist between the vedas and modern science, I dont think the author understands Heisenbergs work in enough depth to understand what Fritjof Capra means when he says

“Heisenberg told me that these talks had helped him a lot with his work in physics, because they showed him that all these new ideas in quantum physics were in fact not all that crazy. He realized there was, in fact, a whole culture that subscribed to very similar ideas. Heisenberg said that this was a great help for him.”

God and Soul in Quantum Theory. / by Socratus /
Can the conception of God and Soul have Physical Background?
My answer is: “Yes, God and Soul have physical background
and can be explained by physical formulas, equations and laws.”
I will try to prove my position.
    Question: what is God?
    The Religious answer:
God is something Absolute, Infinite, Eternal, Spiritual,
the Highest form of Consciousness, Who created everything
    in the Universe.
The Physical answer ( in my opinion) is more concrete:
There is an Absolute, Infinite, Eternal Reference Frame and IT is
Vacuum in the condition of Absolute Zero: T=0K,
that take the functions of God and create everything in the Universe.
Zero Vacuum T=0K is a “solo fabric” of creation everything in the Universe.
Zero Vacuum T=0K is a Metaphysical / Spirit World.
How can I prove my opinion?
    1. God does not create this Material World directly Himself.
    2. To create Material World and everything in It, God uses Spiritual Particles.
    3. The modern name of these Spiritual Particles is Quantum of Light.
Quantum of Light is most phenomenal particle in the World.
Quantum of Light is the structural essence of the Material World.
The essence of all material objects is Quantum of Light.
Through the behavior of Quantum of Light we can understand
what an Absolute God has the Highest form of Consciousness.
In the Vacuum Quantum of Light has maximal speed : c=1
(from our earthly- gravity point of view).
No material particles can ever attain this velocity. It means that this
constant characteristic brings quantum of light to the world which
is different from Material World and this is Vacuum World of Spirits.
Many kinds of so-called different particles (waves) are only different
manifestation / modifications of Quantum of Light.
How can I prove this opinion?
It seems that different particles create different waves:
    EM-waves, Gamma-Radiation waves, Röntgen-Radiation waves,
    Light-Waves, Ultraviolet -waves, Super/Ultra-High-TV-waves,
    Short/Mid/Long wave- length Radio Emission waves . . . but . .
. . . but the energy of each of them is written by formula: E=h*f.
It means that the difference between all these particles / radiations
depends only on frequencies and the background of these modifications
is one and the same particle: Quantum of Light in different frequencies.
Why the simple quantum particle electron has six ( 6 ) formulas:
    +E=Mc^2 and -E=Mc^2 ,
    E=h*f and e^2=ah*c,
    E=-me^4/2h*^2= -13,6eV and E= ∞ ?
    My answer:
Because an electron and quantum of light / photon and antielectron
are one and the same particle in different actions and conditions and
” The Law of conservation and transformation of energy/ mass ”
    unites them together.
The Quantum of Light is not static / firm particle.
Quantum of Light is an elastic particle and can change its geometrical form.
Through so-called “vacuum fluctuation / transformation” Quantum of Light
can materialize or dematerialize its body ( virtual particle can become real
and vice verse) using its own inner impulse h or h*=h/2pi.
(Newtonian physics explains movement as a result of outside influence,
Quantum physics explains movement as a result of own inner power / impulse
of particle and therefore Quantum physics is only a modern Aristotle’s metaphysics)
The potential state of Quantum of Light in the Zero Vacuum is: E=Mc^2.
In the straight constant movement its speed is c=1 and its energy is: E=hc
Quantum of Light behaves like a “particle”.
In the rotation around its axis Quantum of Light behaves like “wave” with energy: E=h*f.
In the Zero Vacuum nobody has influence on
behavior of Quantum of Light. Quantum of Light by himself decided
in which state He wants to be, it means that Quantum of Light has some
kind of consciousness. The consciousness of Quantum of Light can evolve.
Quantum of Light takes part in creation atom, cell, flower, . . . etc . . . and
in creation every living being. And Its evolution of consciousness is going
step by step (from atom, cell, flower . . . to a living being ) according to ancient
Vedas conception: ‘ from vague wish up to a clear thought ’
    Now . . . . . if . . . .
If Quantum of Light have some kind of consciousness which can evolve and
the Absolute Zero T=0K gave the birth to this conscious Spiritual Particles . . . .
then . . . . then it means that the T=0K by Itself has an Absolute the Highest
    form of Consciousness.
The tendency to understand “God” by physical laws, formulas,
equations using the Quantum Theory never will be ended.

    In 1954 Einstein wrote:
” All these fifty years of conscious brooding have brought me
no nearer to the answer to the question, ‘What are light quanta?’
Nowadays every Tom, Dick and Harry thinks he knows it,
    but he is mistaken.’‘
    In 1987 Feynman wrote:
‘ It is important to realize that in physics today,
we have no knowledge of what energy is.
We do not have a picture that energy comes in little
blobs of a definite amount. ‘
    ================ . . .
    My concussions:
We don’t accepted Absolute Reference Frame T=0K and therefore
we don’t know what Quantum of Light and Electron are and therefore
every speculation is possible. I say:
    1) God is simple: T=0K
    2) Soul is simple: Quantum of Light
    ( c/d=pi, R/N=k, E/M=c^2, h=0, c=0, i^2=-1, h=E/t, h=kb,
    h=1, c=1. h*=h/2pi, c>1, E=h*f , e^2=ach* , e^i(pi)= -1)
    3) Everything else (material) is complex.
” If we were looking for something that we could conceive
of as God within the universe of the new physics, this ground
state, coherent quantum vacuum might be a good place to start.”
/ Book ‘The quantum self ’ page 208, by Danah Zohar. /

Israel Sadovnik Socratus. Thank you for sharing your comments. I have no concept of the mathematics but I know they play an important part With your knowledge of the physics of energy allow me to ask you one question.

Once a soul comes into existence, can it be destroyed? I have long been influenced by the Christian notion that it can be as a part of divine judgment.. Yet what I am seeing from near death experiences is that soul consciousness survives the death of the body. Would appreciate your view. THANK YOU.

Western scientists continue to draw from the wisdom of ancient Eastern philosophers and mystics. The various states of consciousness have been described in great detail in indian philosphy. “Turiya” state for eg is now in the lexicon of western scientists. Only, the call it by a different name.
The “holographic model” of the universe propounded by many scientists including David Bohm, Pilbram draws heavily from the concept of “maya” (illusion) AND Brahman (the Absolute Consciousness). It is now thought that brain is a receiving station that just receives the “pattern of waves” from the absolute consciousness and then projects it as a hologram to be percevied by the senses. Brain is the receiving station, our senses perceive. Consciousness is where everything is conceived.

The theories behind Quantum Mechanics (QM) cannot come from Vedas. Heisenberg himself said if Uncertainty Principle (UP) is wrong then QM will become wrong also. If you look at the proof of UP from the one given by Heisenberg himself you will find it is completely wrong. It begins with an absurd assumption that can never happen in nature. It appears that 99% of the QM people did not read the original proof of Heisenberg’s UP or they want to avoid facing the real truth of UP.

Along with some facts, this article also has many errors + exaggerations + speculations. If these are stripped off it will become more legitimate. Following are some examples
    1) It was not Bohr who started quantum physics in 1900, it was Planck
    2) Schrodinger was a fan of vedanta, but not sure about Heisenberg. Please give reference if it is genuine.
    3) Schrodinger did not refer to vedanta to come up with wave equation. After seeing the weirdness of QM he got attracted towards vedanta which says similar things. Same with Bohr and Chinese philosophy.
    4) Physicists have ascertained that Einstein is wrong. This happened long ago with Bell’s theorem (1964) and Aspect’s experiment (1981). EPR paradox is no more.
    5) There is no evidence for the statement about Newton

There may be many more such errors in the article, which I am not aware of.

Vedas were known all over the world even during Puranic period, which is more than 10,000 years back. Yogis were there all over the world since ancient times, and even now there are high level yogis all over the world. You can see influences of Vedas in Bible and Judaism. Any yogi anywhere in the world can find out all about Vedas, using divine vision of yogic power. What did Newton invent about Gravity? Two objects attract or earth attracts all objects? aren’t attraction, falls, gravity same word? Just because you say gravity, it becomes science, and falls or attractions are not science? Newton’s first law is wrong. Have you seen any object moving in a straight line with a constant velocity? No, never, not even in deep space. Thus Newton’s first law is false. Take a look at There is a law of nature, and is in Vedas also, which says – nonexistent cannot become existent. A similar statement is also there in Bible and physics. Thus no one can invent anything. If you look carefully, you will always find that there was a source.

My god… doubt I am proud of my religion, all these epic things, Vedas, Purana’s, but I always wonder why non of our people could directly discover all these things if we were aware about this knowledge for centuries. Why there is such a big effort to draw parallels between modern day science and ancient documents after the discoveries are made by someone else? I have come across such things but always felt that there is really no correlation and things appear far stretched.

The very nature of our material existence, as per Quantum Physicists, is that it is not material.
At the level of subatomic particles, all Newtonian Laws go out of the Window.
At this level, the Universe seems interconnected.

Experience cannot substitute theories or formulas.
Ancient Seers (called “Rishis” in India but by other names in other cultures) saw experientially that their Soul is conncected to the Universal Soul or Universal Consciousness. The individual soul they called as “Jivatam” and the Universal Soul as “Paramatma”.
The greatest contribution of the ancient “Rishis” of India is in the assertion that JIvatama equals Paramatma.
This cannot be proved Scientifically but has to be experienced.
Is there a way to do this?
Of course. Not one but many.
The ways are to be found only in the Eastern Mystical traditions like Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Shintoism etc.
Spiritual Yoga (not the kind you see in USA!) is a way of connecting to your inner Self.
Nobody who has done so has ever said this is a Scam!
Everyone has been transformed by the experience.

Maitreya said: The paramäëu is understood to be the ultimate particle of the material elements. There are innumerable such particles and they are always uncombined. Because of their small size, men are mistaken, identifying them with small particles they can see.

Srila Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura comments: The smallest division (caramah) of parts (visesänäm) of material elements (sat) is called the paramänu.
maitreyaḥ uvāca — Maitreya said; caramaḥ — ultimate; sat — effect; viśeṣāṇām — symptoms; anekaḥ — innumerable; asaṁyutaḥ — unmixed; sadā — always; parama-aṇuḥ — atoms; saḥ — that; vijñeyaḥ — should be understood; nṛṇām — of men; aikya — oneness; bhramaḥ — mistaken; yataḥ — from which.
The material manifestation’s ultimate particle, which is indivisible and not formed into a body, is called the atom. It exists always as an invisible identity, even after the dissolution of all forms. The material body is but a combination of such atoms, but it is misunderstood by the common man.

History of the “quantum of action” (1900-1927) / by Socratus /
In 1900 Planck united together two formulas ( Rayleigh–Jeansfor
for long  and Wien’s for short wavelengths) and then divided them.
He was himself very surprised when the result was found correct.
    And after that came . .  . .
    : ”  . . . some weeks of the hardest work of my life . . .”
The result was – quantum of action (as energy multiply time: h=Et)
The coefficient (h) was neither in the Rayleigh–Jeansfor nor in the
Wien’s formulas.  Planck took unit (h) as in some books are written:
    “intuitively, instinctively,  phenomenologically”
In 1905 Einstein introduced unit (h) in different way.
    Einstein wrote it as:  h=kb
(Boltzmann coefficient multiply Wien’s displacement constant)
And in 1906 Einstein wrote that Planck’s and his results are equal.
But Einstein’s formula explains quantum nature more clearly.

For practical uses both Planck and Einstein multiplied
“quantum of action” by frequency : E=hf.
In 1913 Bohr introduced “quant of action” in the hydrogen-atom.
In 1916  Sommerfeld wrote that “quantum of action” took part in
the  “fine structure ” ( and as result we have complete full formula
    of electron’s  structure: e^2=ah*c)
In 1923 De Broglie wrote that “quant of action” can be “pilot-wave”.
In 1924  Goudsmit and Uhlenbeck wrote that “quant of action”
can work in another way as:  h/2pi (h-bar)
In 1924 Pauli discovered  that “the quantum of action” must obey
    “the exclusion principle”.
In 1925 Heisenberg went a step further.
He discovered “the uncertainty principle” (HUP):  Et>h*, px>h*.
In the same 1925 year Schrodinger explained that
de Broglie’s “pilot-wave”  can work as “psi-wave function”.
In 1926 Schrodinger found relation between his “psi-wave
function”  and the Heisenberg uncertainty principle.
In 1926 Born showed that could be probability of finding
the “quant of action” in local place of the  “psi-wave function”.
In1927  Dirac “put into place the last of quantum theory’s
building blocks”. He “playing with beautiful equations”
explained that the  “quantum of action”  must have one
negative anti-brother (-E=Mc^2)  in  “an unobserved infinite sea”.
The QM interpretation doesn’t fit the logical presentation.
      Feynman wrote:
” The theory of quantum electrodynamics describes Nature
as absurd  from the point of view of common sense.
And it agrees fully with experiment.
So I hope you accept Nature as She is — absurd.”
/ Book: QED : The Strange Theory of Light and Matter /

    My conclusion.
Nature is not an absurd structure.
It is our “scientific” thought  of Nature can be absurd,
it is our  “philosophy of science” can be abstract.
How is possible to escape philosophical absurd?
    My solution.
The history of the “quantum of action” (1900-1927) shows that
“quantum of action” can be a quantum of light, and
“quantum of action” can be an electron, and
“quantum of action” has connection  with  an antiparticle . . . . .
    In the other words,
quantum of light, electron and antiparticle can be  one and the same
real particle of  different actions in different conditions. This is possible
because “quantum of action” obeys “ The law of conservation and
transformation energy/mass”. “Quantum of action” has many formulas
and they can be tied together only through physical process of
“transformation”  but what “transformation”  means according to one
single “quantum of action” nobody explains.
The Existence begins on the quantum level and  “quantum of action”  is
primary particle of existence. Not from “big bang”, not from “Higgs boson”,
not from “string particles in 11-D”, not from “meson, muon, tau .  . . .
and 1000 their brothers” but only from Planck’s / Einstein’s
“quantum of action” creation  of  Nature was started.
    Best wishes.
