We are now celebrating Gaura Purnima, the appearance day of Lord Caitanya. On this occasion we humbly submit this new audio recording. The recording is from the second chapter of Caitanya Mangala written by Srila Locana Dasa Thakura.

In Caitanya Caritamrta we hear about how Advaita Acharya prayed for Lord Caitanya to appear to destroy the ignorance of Kali Yuga and establish the Sankirtana Yajna as the Yuga Dharma. We also know of Lord Krishna's internal reasons to appear as Caitanya Mahaprabhu, namely to experience the loving mood of Srimati Radharani.

In this part of Caitanya Mangala, however, we learn what Narada Muni, Rukmini Devi and Lord Krishna, Katyayani and Shiva, Laksmi and Lord Narayana and specifically Lord Narayana's mahaprasada have to do with the appearance of Lord Caitanya and His reason for choosing to manifest as the Golden Avatara.
